
Baijiu Society, created by a collective of people that love the iconic spirit, now offers a a range of baijiu-inspired spirits that are now available in Hong Kong.
Over 25 years ago, founders Craig Butler and Bobby Tse, along with a group of Chinese and Western friends, bonded over baijiu while working across China. That then led to Baijiu Society to blending time-honoured techniques with modern craftsmanship, creating a selection an exciting collection of flavours.
“Chinese baijiu is our inspiration,” says co-founder Craig Butler. “We’re not here to reinvent it as it’s already perfect as it is. Our goal is simply to share our love for it in a way that resonates with both seasoned drinkers and those new to the category.”
The range includes Blend No. 01 Society, Blend No. 02 Life, Blend No. 03 Love, Blend No. 04 Prosperity, Blend No. 05 Unity and Joju Dark Coffee Liqueur.
Descriptions of each one are as follows:
Blend No. 01 Society - A delicate dance of star anise, clove, cinnamon, and essential orange oil, best enjoyed in the signature B&T (Baijiu & Tonic).
Blend No. 02 Life - A vibrant floral baijiu elevated by the lucious sweetness of natural peach.
Blend No. 03 Love - A captivating fusion of baijiu infused with intense natural cherry, balanced by subtle pear and almond undertones.
Blend No. 04 Prosperity - This refined blend is infused with vibrant natural yuzu essence, creating a bold yet balanced spirit at 40% ABV.
Blend No. 05 Unity - Opens with an alluring bouquet of ripe lychee and pear, leading to a palate that balances medium sweetness with bold Baijiu presence and delicate melon notes, finishing with elegant lychee and pear tones.
Joju Dark Coffee Liqueur - Crafted from premium Baijiu and infused with rich, dark-roasted coffee, Joju delivers a harmonious blend of subtle sweetness and bold depth. Notes of pear, anise, and smooth spirit warmth unfold into a luxuriously rounded finish.
