zuma Creates Hong Kong's Ultimate Seductive Valentine Dessert
(Hong Kong, January 11, 2010) – A spectacular, seductive Valentine Day dessert has been created for internationally acclaimed Japanese restaurant and nightspot zuma at The Landmark.
It showcases the art of one of Hong Kong's most creative pastry chefs, with white testumi candy floss nestled on a bed of roasted white chocolate and wild strawberries.
Priced at HK$180, the romantic creation compliments one of Hong Kong's most celebrated dessert menus, designed by Head Pastry Chef Eddy Lee, who has trained under celebrity chefs Marco Pierre White, Alain Ducasse and Alan Yau.
His indulgent menu of unique signature desserts helped earn zuma a prestigious ranking in last year's S.Pellegrino’s World’s Best Restaurants Awards. zuma was one of just four Hong Kong restaurants in the world's top 100.
Among dessert aficionados, zuma is renowned for its all-time favourite, green tea banana cake with coconut ice cream and peanut toffee sauce, and 'Special Chocolate'.
Styled especially for Hong Kong is coffee & lemon cream with espresso granite, hazelnut ‘crunch’ and Hokkaido milk ice, resembling traditional English trifle.
Chef Lee considers desserts an essential element of dining: "Dessert completes the experience, and zuma desserts help to define our style."
