2. Lorenzo Antinori - Bar Leone
Antinori's Bar Leone stands out with its 'cocktail popolari' concept, focusing on classic cocktails for everyone. Departing from high-concept approaches, Antinori aims to create a memorable and approachable experience inspired by traditional Roman bars.
3. Agung Prabowo - Lockdown, PENICILLIN and DEAD& Dive Bar
Agung Prabowo, a Jakarta native with over two decades of bartending experience, co-founded The Old Man Hong Kong, celebrated for its inventive cocktails paying tribute to Ernest Hemingway. After expanding to Singapore, he departed and, in late 2020, opened PENICILLIN Bar – Hong Kong's first sustainable bar. With a focus on minimizing waste and a commitment to using locally sourced or upcycled ingredients, PENICILLIN, founded by Agung and his partners, stands as a revolutionary force in the cocktail scene, highlighting his dedication to creativity and sustainability. Notably, he also emphasizes sustainability with LOCKDOWN bar, showcasing his multifaceted approach to transforming the cocktail landscape.
4. Joe Villanueva - Avoca
Joe Villanueva brings his passion to Avoca, offering a locally inspired cocktail menu. Expect a sophisticated vibe and a celebration of elevated bar culture at this social meeting place.
5. Leo Ko - Alibi

6. Antonio Lai - Quinary
As a self-proclaimed tea enthusiast, Antonio is the proud owner and founder of Quinary, a highly acclaimed cocktail bar currently holding the No. 16 spot on Asia’s 50 Best Bars list. Renowned for incorporating tea into his cocktail creations, his Earl Grey Caviar Martini has been a customer favorite since Quinary's establishment in 2012.
7. Jay Khan - Coa and The Savory Project
Jay Khan, co-founder of COA, Asia's Best Bar three years running, has been a driving force in promoting agave spirits. Beyond COA's success, Khan, with Mezcal Mission, supports Habitat for Humanity through workshops. 8. Nikita Matveev - Dead Poets and The Old Man Bar
Nikita Matveev, renowned for his role at The Old Man, brings a modish touch to mixology at Dead Poets in Hong Kong. The cocktail program pays homage to the 27 Club, honoring musicians like Winehouse and Morrison. By day, the venue transforms into a barbershop and café. Nikita, a Russian-born, Hong Kong-based mixologist, gained recognition, including the best bartender in Macau in 2018. 9. Maikal Gurung - The Daily Tot
With years of experience in the F&B industry, Maikal has crafted multiple identities within his mixology career, notably at Lobster Bar in Shangri-la Hong Kong. Driven by an insatiable curiosity for new mixological horizons, Maikal has transitioned to the realm of Daily Tot. Here, he passionately guides a team of aspiring rum runners and young bartenders, fostering an environment where creativity flourishes and the journey into the world of rum unfolds.
10. Amir Javaid - Socio
In 2017, he moved to Hong Kong, achieving recognition as the city's Cointreau champion and implementing a groundbreaking bar program. After contributing to the largest gin bar in HK and earning the 'HK Rising Star' title, he transitioned to become a brand ambassador during the pandemic, collaborating with renowned brands on sustainability-focused programs. Now, in 2024, he proudly owns Socio, a sustainable community bar in Hong Kong, where each cocktail embodies the botanical history of Asia, reflecting his unwavering dedication to sustainability and innovation in the bartending industry.
11. Brandon Chan - Bobby's Rabble
Brandon Chan, crowned HKClubbing.com Bartender of the Year 2023 at Bobby’s, is celebrated for crafting classic cocktails and fostering a welcoming atmosphere. Winner of the prestigious award, Brandon's F&B journey began in 2016. Moving from Hertfordshire, U.K., to Hong Kong over four years ago, he embraces the city's heritage, navigates through the challenges of the Covid era, and cherishes friendships and experiences. Grateful for mentorship and support, Brandon looks ahead to 2024 with enthusiasm, contributing to Bobby’s and Hong Kong’s vibrant mixology scene.
