Clockenflap is simply the one of the best local and international live music events that Hong Kong has to offer and it will return in 2023. The dates are 3rd to 5th March 2023.

We share what we think are the top ten reasons why everyone should go to the event this year and how these points are influenced by those that we know that have not attended the event before.

1) There is an artist performing for everyone

There is such a wide variety of acts from Hong Kong and all over the world to choose from. We suggest that everyone spends a bit of time searching the names on YouTube and checking out to see what they like and making a list of who they have to see. We will be posting about our list closer to the event date. You will be surprised how many  international artists have performed at Clockenflap to return to Hong Kong a few years later for their own exclusive show including Lewis Capaldi to Don Diablo.

2) It is not that expensive

If you compare Clockenflap pricing to that of a one off artist show, it is an excellent deal, as a one off concert 1 hour live show could be roughly around HK$680 and up and Clockenflap has many artists all performing usually over more than one day, so pricing wise it is a much better deal than going to a one off concert.

3) If you don't like the music playing at any given time, you can eat and drink and explore...

There is a wide variety of food and drink options that they have put a lot of effort and time into selecting. So just spending a weekend out trying local vendors food and drinks is something many of us do already in Hong Kong. There are also art installations and other fun performances throughout each day.

4) You get to go outside

Clockenflap has been an outdoor event and for us just being outdoors and not in our apartment enjoying the weather (if we are lucky for some sun) is always great. Fortunately the festival has had great weather most of the years it has been held and usually when it happens is at the end of the year so it is not too hot.

5) You get to catch up with friends

Clockenflap is an annual event and with so many people there of all different ages, we always get to catch up with many people that we know. Just gathering with friends for a weekend is so much fun and there is simply not many other events quite like it.
