First time heading up Hong Kong’s highest bar when the day is still lit; my girlfriends and I were excited about seeing the venue in daylight, as well as being invited to try out their newest promotion for girls every Thursday from 5 to 8pm.

Nevertheless the weather was not as great as expected; the windy outdoor didn’t stop us from being completely carried away with the venue’s always classy set up and the row of chairs that welcomed us with a cocktail selection of 5 and 2 complimentary manicure stations offered by Strand Etiquette ready for action.

At a price of HKD $488 for guests, they not only get to enjoy a lovely manicure against the cozy environment, but do they also get 2 cocktails by the bar. Us three got a chance to try out 4 from the menu and was blown away by some of their tastes.

First up we ordered the Dragontini with vodka, raspberry liquor, elderflower, yuzu and basil foam. As ozone’s very own signature, the cocktail obviously impressed us, no matter in its poppy taste or its colorful appearance along with the sprinkled raspberry bits. I went for the Aria 118, which is also a mix with vodka including sake, coconut rum, passion fruit and lychee which has a lovely orange outlook with a fruity sour tingle. 

We then went for the Sweet Life, which isn’t actually as sweet as it sounds. The cocktail included tequila, aperol, passion fruit, lime and pineapple juice with bitters which has a plum taste resemblance; much like an alcoholic version of the Chinese sour plum soup in our idea.  

To wrap the evening up, I decided to challenge myself and went for the spicy Thai Spritz which has chili infused tequila, actual strawberries, Prosecco and lemongrass floating among the drink. Like a spicy mojito; the after taste is savory, whilst the spices hit the lips hard with a punch. Recommended for those who are up for something completely unexpected and surprising; our favorite was definitely the Dragontini we tried first. 

Since all three of us already had our nails done prior the visit, we didn’t get a chance to try out the service. Yet since the Nails and Cocktails program will be on every Thursday now starting on the 20th of March, do get a chance to go around and enjoy the drinks, the service with the scenic view!
