Will this be your first show in Hong Kong? Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?
Yes, it will be my first show there, but actually it’s a funny story, I lived in Macau back in 2001 when I was racing cars in the Macau GP. I'm looking forward to seeing how the crowds have changed over the past 12 years. I hear Hong Kong is one of the best places with the best fans in the world. So I'm looking forward to showing Hong Kong what MAKJ's got!!
How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?
Well you used to DJ to produce but now it’s backwards, producing to DJ. So having that curve ball thrown in the equation is a little frustration because there is a lot of talented DJs out there that can't get gigs anymore because they don't produce. I want to change that. Coming from a DJ background with over 10 years of experience I want to show my fans and new fans that I can DJ and produce.
What was your favorite memory so far of 2013 and what would you like to achieve during the rest of the year?
Playing at Ultra Music Fest in Miami for sure. Most memorable experience ever. Met so many good people those 2 weeks and I look forward to going back next year to a big and better stage : ).
What can we expect from your upcoming performance in Hong Kong?
A lot of new originals and a lot of crazy turntablist stuff. I play directly after Avicii so I plan on going HAM!!
Tell us about your collaborations with Hardwell and Nicky Romero. How is it working with each of them? How has the process been?
Amazing, those guys are like brothers to me now, helping me every step of the way!
Your track "Hold Up" broke the Top 20 on the Beatport Electro House chart, how did that feel?
Amazing. I couldn't have asked for a better original release to kick off the summer with Juicy Music and Beatport!
What can we expect from your new track “Springen”?
June 26th!! Hysteria!!! I'm so excited for this monster to come out!! It needs to be unleashed already.

Tell us a story from tour that shocked you?
Flying from Vancouver to Toronto some guy was clipping his toenails on the plane sitting behind me. I almost barfed.
Do you have any pre gig rituals?
100000000000 push-ups, 2000000000 sit-ups, and 1 beer.
Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers / artists at the moment?
SCNDL these guys from Australia, they just remixed my new single "Hold Up" and let me tell you its a beast!!
If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?
An Architect, went to school for it so I guess I would be doing that.
