Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?

I started at the age of 14 making music. Couple years later at 16 i started DJ’ing at small parties for friends and family and later in small bars and clubs. My biggest inspiration was Tiësto, because he was the DJ everyone heard of when i was little.
 
Will this be your first time in Macao?  Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?

This will be my first time! I’m really looking forward to meeting people from Macao and see how the culture is different from the Dutch and Europe culture. I’m also looking forward to playing and seeing what the nightlife there is like.

 
How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?

Before it was more about good DJ skills and live DJ sets and now it is all about the music you produce. Even if you don’t have a lot of DJ experience you can still become a big DJ with some good produced records. I always try to keep the quality of DJ’ing AND producing high!
 
What was your favourite memory of 2014 so far and what do you have planned for the rest of the year?

My favorite memory was to play at tomorrowland and seeing people from all around the world partying together there. My Asia tour is another thing i really look forward too! At the end of 2014 I’m also planning a US tour and lot’s of Europe shows. So I’m seeing a lot of the world this year! :)
 
What can we expect from your upcoming performance at Cubic Macao?

It will be energetic and I’m trying to make the people go crazy! I will play new music and some of my favorite tracks!
 
Aside from your DJ equipment, name you top three touring essentials.

Laptop, for producing. Clean t-shirts, you gotta stay fresh haha and my chargers, can’t tour without battery.
 
What is the weirdest thing that you’ve seen from the DJ booth?

People trying to grab me and pull me into the crowd. Happened a few times.
 
Do you have any pre gig rituals?

Nope, not really. I like to enter the club right before I play, and if I’m early i like to have a drink before i go on.
 
Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers at the moment?

Mike Hawkins, great guy and great musical talent. Sam Feldt, buddy of mine and doing really good in the deep house scene at the moment. Audien, his tracks are insane and I really like that he is so down to earth.
 
If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?

Something related to music. I would try to work with music as much as i can. (work for a label or a radio station for example)
 
What tracks/ projects can we look forward to in the upcoming months?

A collaboration with DVBBS is in the making and i hope to finish a lot of my „work-in-progress projects”
