IXA mentioned, "Usually I record DJ mixes using Ableton so that I can chop things up, blend 3 or more tracks at the same time and structure the mix exactly as want it. They’re more like a musical collage than a DJ mix I guess but for this one I wanted to do something more direct I had a collection of tracks I wanted to include and I’d say about half of them made the final mix. I just sat down with the music and mixed everything on the fly with a pair of CDJs and no preparation. Choosing whatever felt right at the time and just enjoying the vibe of each track. This mix represents exactly what I usually do in the DJ booth every weekend but due to the situation we are all dealing with right now, obviously with a few less people dancing in front of me. My mixes usually take 3 or 4 days to put together so it was fun taking this one from idea to finished mix in less than a day. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I did recording it."
