Hong Kongs Hottest Al Fresco Bar Vibes Opens at The Mira Hong Kong
Molecular cocktails, gourmet tapas and a resident DJ at the garden lounge
Hong Kong's hottest al fresco bar 'Vibes' opened today in the heart of Tsim Sha Tsui at chic new lifestyle hotel The Mira Hong Kong.
Complete with a resident DJ, 'Vibes' is an outdoor oasis of flowing waterways, cabanas and tropical greenery within the cutting-edge hotel styled for “today’s fast-living urban travelers.”
With its unique approach to exclusive, al fresco lounging, Vibes’ is cementing its position as the city’s newest hotspot.
Sophisticated molecular cocktails compliment gourmet finger food at the stunning outdoor garden lounge, which has been designed as an oasis in the city, complete with frangipani trees, bamboo, green walls and brushed steel, lotus-shaped fire pods that sit atop soothing running water ways that surround the space.
One particular dish, Fennel Apple popcorn is created from fennel-infused Swedish vodka with fresh apple and ginger, charged with C02 and sprayed onto liquid nitrogen, producing alcoholic popcorn - served with Grey Goose lychee martini on the side.
Liquid nitrogen also boosts a stunning version of Vodka & Lime, while an infusion of Hennessy VSOP powers a unique Champagne Cocktail.
Royal Mojito is a blend of rum and mint jelly, taking the Cuban favourite to a new level, and Espresso Martini is an eclectic blend of vanilla vodka, coffee bean-infused port, coffee liqueur and freshly-brewed espresso, brought to a climax with Galliano and Grand Marnier foam.
Iced red wine with coffee bean-infused port creates a sophisticated Jellified Wine, served with a martini of aromatic sake, fresh lychee, fresh lemon juice and sauvignon blanc.
Tapas dishes served at 'Vibes' include mini Wagyu & foie gras burgers, oyster shooters in gazpacho and prawn rolls with basil and Serrano ham.
Also on the menu are grilled King Oyster mushrooms, Laksa noodles, ginger marinaded chicken and assorted homemade parmesan tuiles, deep fried onion rings and seaweed crackers.
'Vibes' adjoins signature restaurant WHISK, a new contemporary fine dining venue headed by world-renowned Singaporean chef Justin Quek, voted 'Best Chef of the Year' at the World Gourmet Summit Awards of Excellence.
International interior designer Charles Allem of CAD Associates was the creative force behind Vibes, WHISK, and Cuisine Cuisine at The Mira. He has transformed exclusive residences, hotels and commercial spaces from Palm Beach to Las Vegas, New York, and Bel Air.
The Mira Hong Kong is one of Hong Kong’s most upscale and technologically advanced hotels and is also a new performance venue for the global live acts. General Manager Dirk Dalichau said: "The Mira Hong Kong will become a hot new venue in Tsim Sha Tsui for big-name performers."
The garden lounge compliments a trend-setting new concept at the new 492-room address on Nathan Road.
