
Mark your calendars for March 2025, as the Hong Kong Arts Festival returns with an extraordinary lineup set to captivate and inspire.
Highlights of this year's festival include:
- Opera: Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Bizet’s Carmen with a revival based on original production notes, offering a glimpse into how it was first performed in 1875.
- Music: Experience the vibrant sounds of the Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna in the Festival Opening concert, conducted by Maestro Donato Renzetti, along with a family friendly programme.
- Theatre: Jules Verne’s sci-fi classic will be brought to life on stage in the Jockey Club East-meets-West Series: 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, with a magical underwater world full of fantastic creatures.
- Music Theatre: Discover TIME, the final work by the late Oscar-winning composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and Shiro Takatani, featuring a meditative soundscape and visual dreamscape.
- Dance: Enjoy the Czech National Ballet’s performance of La Sylphide, a fairy tale told through dynamic Bournonville-style choreography by Johan Kobborg.
- VR Interactive Dance: Participate in Le Bal de Paris, a virtual Parisian ball with live dancers and digital couture by Chanel. (This programme is not available for Advance Bookings and will be open for public sales from 6 December)
