Will this be your first show in Hong Kong?   Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?

This will be my first gig in Hong Kong with Hed Kandi, but i spent 6 months here in 2006 with DJ Nipper who still has residencies on Central. It was where i first began learning the art of drumming with a DJ. I'm really excited and looking forward to now be able to come back and perform with one of the biggest brands in the clubbing world.

 
How do you feel that electronic music has changed over the last few years?
 
The last 12/18 months has seen a lot of 'Big Room House', 4 to the floor type tracks that are full of energy and have been great for a drummer to play powerfully with. Were now in a Deep House phase, which is a bit more chilled but you get to hear some quality grooves!
 
What was your favourite memory so far of 2013 and what would you like to achieve during the rest of the year?
 
Best memory so far, playing to a packed crowd in Birmingham in January! It was probably the best gig i have done so far for Hed Kandi, and i'd just like to continue to entertain crowds like that for the rest of the year!
 
What can we expect from your upcoming performance in Hong Kong?
 
I hope to give you a performance full of energy, and some beats that will get you on the dance floor enjoying a little boogie.

Aside from your drum kit, name you top three touring essentials.
 
Hair wax, iphone and headphones.

Tell us a story from tour that shocked you?
 
The more trips and tours i do i'm learning that nothing should shock you!

Do you have any pre gig rituals?
 
Not really, just a couple cold beers to get me in the mood for a good party!

Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers / artists at the moment?
 
I've just spent the weekend gigging in Germany with Hed Kandi DJ, Nathan Cozzetto, he's just got a track out called 'All You Need', it has a great vibe. He let me have an exclusive listen to his next release which is a belter. Keep a look out!

If you weren’t a percussionist what would you be doing?
 
I'd like to own a coffee shop, i love the stuff!
