
The 53rd Hong Kong Arts Festival will kick off in February 2025 with an unforgettable performance by the world-renowned Orchestra of the Teatro Comunale di Bologna. The orchestra will present two spectacular concerts: the Festival Opening Concert and a Family Concert, both set to captivate audiences.
Under the direction of esteemed conductor Donato Renzetti, the orchestra will bring to life the iconic works of Rossini, showcasing the brilliance of his musical legacy. The programme will also feature Mendelssohn’s “Italian” Symphony, evoking the beauty and culture of Italy. This promises to be a memorable evening for Hong Kong’s arts lovers.
For families with children, the Family Concert is a must-see, perfect for kids aged six and above. The concert will feature Ravel’s Mother Goose Suite, a magical piece that evokes childhood memories through enchanting melodies. The orchestra will also perform excerpts from opera greats such as Rossini, Puccini, and Donizetti, providing a wonderful introduction to the world of Classical music for young audiences.
