Annual event raises funds for the Po Leung Kuk Scholarship Fund and Language Training Program

The much-awaited Foreign Correspondents’ Club Annual Charity Ball will rock on September 15, 2006 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (HKCEC) to the fabulous sound of new wave, punk sensation Blondie with lead singer Deborah Harry. This is Blondie’s only Hong Kong performance on their Asian tour.

30 Day Countdown Begins

Ngong Ping 360 is pleased to announce that Hong Kong’s unique world-class new tourist attraction will open to the public in just 30 days, on 24 June 2006.

Today, a public display and countdown clock was launched at MTR Central Station which shows the official countdown to the eagerly-awaited debut of Ngong Ping 360 to the public.

"Ngong Ping 360, officially opening on 24 June, is destined to become an iconic new attraction for Hong Kong,” said Ngong Ping 360 Managing Director, Bill Calderwood.  “We look forward to welcoming Hong Kong residents and tourists on the Journey of Enlightenment 30 days from today.”

Ngong Ping 360 is a dynamic new tourism experience which combines a stunning 5.7 km cable car journey with an impressive cultural themed Village and easy access to the Tian Tan Buddha Statue, the world’s largest, seated, outdoor, bronze Buddha statue.

Ngong Ping 360 is destined to become one of Hong Kong’s ‘must do’ attractions, providing a fully integrated and memorable visitor experience.
