Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?

I got started as a DJ in 1992 after watching a few of my older friends do it. My biggest inspirations back in those days were people like Ellis Dee, Carl Cox, Rhythm Masters and Murk. I was big into jungle, hardcore and house so I had a varied taste in music which has helped my later career.

Will this be your first time in Hong Kong?  Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?
It is my first time anywhere in Asia so I am mega excited! I am a massive fan of tall buildings and big cities so Hong Kong has a great deal to offer me in that department!

Give us your top 3 meals or snack?
Top 3 meals are Beef Stroganoff, Cheesburgers and Apples! Weird selection I know!

What is the food that you look forward to eating most while on tour in Asia, and what do you miss from the UK?
I love almost all types of Asian food so I am very excited about trying some of the things you guys have to offer! I really want to try some weird stuff. The thing I miss most about the UK is my wife and my Siamese cats, definitely not the weather!

How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?
DJing and production have changed in the sense that they are kind of the same job! They used to be very seperate things but over time they have meshed together to become one thing. You can't just be a DJ or Producer separately these days as there isn't much money in production and no one will book you if you don't have records out!

What was your favourite memory of 2012 and what do you have planned for 2013?
My favourite memories of 2012 are so many that it's hard to pick one! 2012 was the best year of my life, so much fun and I got to see and do some amazing things! 2013 is going to be a good year, I am writing am album with Justin Martin and am playing loads of new places that I haven't done before. It's very exciting.

What can we expect from your upcoming performance?

Lots of new music, some vigorous dancing and a big smile!

Aside from your DJ equipment, name you top three touring essentials.
Wet Wipes, jogging bottoms (sweat pants) and IPad/laptop.

Tell us a story from tour that shocked you?
There are way too many shocking stories, I couldn't possibly retell them. I will tell you when I see you! ;)

Do you have any pre gig rituals?
Not to eat too much!!!

Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers at the moment?

Lukas, Detroit Swindle and Ardalan.

If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?

Crying, a lot!!! :)
