Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?
We've been making music our whole life. It's been a natural part of our lives.
 
How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?
I love that the technology has gone so far that we can just bring our laptop and work anywhere! We can make edits of tracks in the taxi from the airport and play it later during the night. What has really got us working on the road is the new Sub Pac. It's a device that makes you feel the music instead of just hearing it. New we can feel the bass when where in a hotel room and it keeps us inspired!

What was your favourite memory of 2014 so far and what do you have planned for the rest of the year?
Dada Land the Voyage was an amazing experience for us. It was our first big event with two day camping.  We flew in for our set in a hot air ballon. We also started the whole festival with a 1 hour set with us playing music that we grew up with and then ended the whole festival with a full on Dada Life set. So it was a musical voyage also.

What can we expect from your upcoming performance at Cubic Macao?
Always expect the unexpected. We want the people to leave their brains at home and let us do the thinking.
 
Aside from your DJ equipment, name you top three touring essentials.
Again, we use the Sub Pac so much. We cannot produce on the road without it.
 
What is the weirdest thing that you’ve seen from the DJ booth?
We see a lot of weird stuff. Naked girls/guys being thrown in the air. What we never see is people fighting, which is one thing that makes us happy! Dada Land is all about smiling and being happy!
 
Do you have any pre gig rituals?
Bananas and Champagne!

Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers at the moment?
We love Andybody. He's super talented and got a good eye for melodies, which we love!

If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?
Probably working for a circus. Which is basically what we do now.

What tracks/ projects can we look forward to in the upcoming months?
Our new single "Freaks Have More Fun" is coming out soon. It's a high energy track with the words "Tonight we are one, Freaks have more fun". And we do have more fun!

Little Richard!
