Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?
We lied to get our first gig. We said we had played all these big shows so that's how we got started. Filled it with all our mates and they kept us there. We were messing around with producing at the beginning too. We got more serious as we realised we could do it for a living. The swedish house mafia in the beginning were an inspiration individually before they were together as a group. Obviously they nailed it as a group but they were killing it before that too.

Will this be your first time in Macao?  Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?
We have never been to Macao before so really excited to check it out. I really don't know what to expect, but we will do our best to see everything!

 
How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?
Producing has definitely become more accessible as you can see from all the young bedroom producers coming through. Everything is more compact and easier. SD cards/ USB's to dj, the two go hand in hand these days. You have to be both a producer and dj to make it somewhere. I'm excited to see where it will go in the future as well.
 
What was your favourite memory of 2014 so far and what do you have planned for the rest of the year?
So many memories and lost memories from the nights out. We play in Vegas a lot which is amazing everytime. We play at light which is in association with cirque du soleil so we have a whole show going on while we are dj'ing. For the rest of the year, a lot of touring and more music to be released! Then Christmas at home with the family. Our one day off a year!

What can we expect from your upcoming performance at Cubic Macao?
Craziness, partying and a lot of kangaroos!

Aside from your DJ equipment, name you top three touring essentials.
Laptop. iphone and my necky (Neck pillow). Essential for the plane which is basically our second home.

What is the weirdest thing that you’ve seen from the DJ booth?
kangaroo having sex with the dancers.
 
Do you have any pre gig rituals?
Shots and our pre dj drink Neon Volt. That gets things started! We always say "play it like it's your last gig". So we put everything into the performance.

Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers at the moment?
so much talent out there. Timmy Trumpet from Australia is killing it and is about to do it on a worldwide scale. He's one to watch for sure.

If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?
Well we both have degrees in business degrees in marketing and management. Matt was going to be a professional rugby player. I think I would have been a cartoonist. . Nothing normal for sure.

What tracks/ projects can we look forward to in the upcoming months?
Our track has just been released with Eva Simons and T.I. called "this girl". This is our focus at the moment and making sure it connects. We have a follow up after that and a lot of club records as well.

What would be your dream collaboration?
We've always said pharrell. We love his sound and his hat.
