Tell us a little bit about how you got started as a DJ / Producer? Who was your biggest inspiration?

At the start, I was really into the darker sounds of Aphex Twin and The Prodigy... But once I started clubbing, It was DJ's like Mauro Picotto, Ferry Corsten, Tiesto and Armin Van Buuren that inspired me a lot to become a DJ/Producer myself.

Will this be your first time in Macao?  Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?
 
Yes! First time in Macao. I'm excited about seeing the Taipa village, all the casinos, and hopefully indulging in some amazing food.

How do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?

It has gotten much bigger, and there is a really exciting balance between big International Festivals and a strong club scene. Also the technology advancements has allowed you to do a lot of new things both in the studio as well as on stage, I love how you can connect with fans all over the world through social media so easily as well now.
 
What was your favorite memory of 2014 so far and what do you have planned for the rest of the year?

This year has been absolutely crazy (in a good way)... the stand out events were ASOT 650 Kuala Lumpur, Tomorrowland, Stereosonic, and too many fantastic club shows to mention. ASOT650 especially blew my mind... just seeing all the Aussie flags and custom MaRLo banners etc. almost had me in tears of joy. The rest of the year is looking really super busy, with my schedule being almost completely full all the way to December already. As for new music, I have a new compilation album coming up which will feature quite a few of my brand new exclusive tracks that no one has heard yet.. and I'm also working on a few really exciting vocal tracks with Christina Novelli, Audrey Gallagher and my wife Jano.
 
What can we expect from your upcoming performance at Cubic Macao?

Powerful beats and Techy grooves with lots of big epic hands in the air moments.
 
Aside from your DJ equipment, name you top three touring essentials.

Earplugs, My laptop and phone, a good multivitamin tablet ;)
 

What is the weirdest thing that you’ve seen from the DJ booth?
 
I played a show in Singapore and they had a rubbish bin in the DJ Booth with a sign on it "Track requests go here".

Do you have any pre gig rituals?
 
In the last few minutes before I walk on stage, I just like having a few moments of quiet, where I don't really talk to anyone.. It helps me get focused.

Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers at the moment?

There's so many incredible producers right now, and I do my best to support new talent as much as I can through my radio show and my live shows... It would be unfair to single out just a few names. My new upcoming compilation will feature a lot of new up and coming producers and unsigned talent, so you'll just have to have a listen when it comes out haha ;)

If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?

Computer Animation and 3D Graphics.

What tracks/ projects can we look forward to in the upcoming months?

A few big vocal tracks as well as a couple of tracks more along the lines of "BOOM" and "Visions" too.

What would be your dream collaboration?

I would love to work with Chris Martin from Coldplay or Lana Del Ray. I love how emotive and recognizable their voices are. But in terms of another DJ/Producer - I would love to do tracks with Armin Van Buuren or Dash Berlin.
