With history as being a broadcaster to being a renowned DJ to being a Radio persona and now a successful producer and founder of mobilee Records; how has the change of just managing yourself to now managing other fresh talents under your label affect your life and your own production in music?

It all happened organically. I had a radio show on Fritz.de Radio where I was playing a lot of new music from young artists. I was asked to do  my own imprint label and use my prominent name to help these young people. I thought it was a great idea and we put a team together.
As mobilee became more successful I started getting requests to DJ - I had already produced some records as I had all these ideas I wanted to try out. It really had a natural synergy. 

First starting production back in 2004; how do you feel that DJing and producing has changed over the last few years?

DJing has changed a lot because the technical side of things have totally transformed. It all started with a record player, then maybe two if you were lucky and vinyl. Now it can be really technical with artists using Traktor, Maschine, laptops, USB sticks, CDDJ's etc. etc. It's not just enough to know great music and to mix it, you need to have technical ability, a personality, marketing and social media skills. 

Producing has also really changed because of all the technical advances. Sometimes this is good thing as you can create anything you want but I still like the old school ways with analogue equipment and organic ideas. I have learnt a lot but I am always learning more. I have a great job!

With your own distinct musicality and a distinct sound produced by mobilee and its sister label Lenna Music; how would you define the two and how has it been maintaining itself in being one of Berlin’s most- watched electronic music influence?

MOBILEE IS A FAMILY - we are based on this mantra, we are a close-knit collective and everyone's opinion matters.
Leena is a label we set up for friends, who have their own home's (labels) but who we like and respect and want to put out their music.

Travelling across the globe leaving marks in countless clubs and festivals; will this be your first show in Hong Kong?   Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?

EVERYTHING ! I'm really excited to visit and take it all in. I want to see all the sides of the city, not just the night life.

What can we expect from your upcoming performance in Hong Kong?

I will be in a good mood and I want you to come and show me your sweetest smile and I will show you mine ! :-)

Tell us a story from tour that shocked you?

Ha ha I have no stories……nothing shocks me these days!

Do you have any pre gig rituals?

Eat, sleep. shower and drink (water).

As a business woman and a DJ/ producer yourself; who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming producers / artists at the moment?

Very difficult to say as there are so many out there - which is great!  I'm very happy about the new girls strutting their stuff, like Maya Jane Coles - she is an amazing producer, DJ and also lovely personality.

If you weren’t a DJ/Producer what would you be doing?

I think I'd like to be a writer.
