It’s not just about summer pool parties, bright lights and DJ tracks at W Hong Kong – honing in on W brand’s passion point of Music, W Hong Kong is introducing the WOO STUDIO series, led by W Music Curator Olivia Dawn, with the prospect of promoting quality live sound with a twist in Hong Kong.

Live saxophone beats in an intimate setting will be brought to WOOBAR bringing a series of inspiring live acts, starting with the UK’s Lovely Laura and her DJ partner Ben Santiago, resident DJs of Ibiza’s Hed Kandi. Lovely Laura, a saxophonist and vocalist has started an internet storm across the globe, with videos of her performances in Ibiza reaching over 50 million views, and is well known for her collaboration with Klingande in “Jubel”. Lovely Laura and Ben will be accompanied by Olivia Dawn and DJ Has, with the four of them collaborating and making their mark at the debut of the series on November 25.

 

The upcoming WOO STUDIO series will be a music reveler’s dream, introducing both international and local acts to WOOBAR, where you can anticipate to see live performances with an electronic spice and raw instrumentals in their most eclectic form. “Participants of the Hong Kong music scene are becoming more open minded and open to new things, and people in the city are craving for more than just acoustic or electronic music, they are craving some more hybrid action”, states W Music Curator Olivia Dawn. The WOO STUDIO series will be pushing this hybrid style to WOOBAR where attendees can expect a mix of acoustics and electronic vibes in an intimate setting.

The WOO STUDIO series will be making its mark in the Hong Kong nightlife scene, woo’ing music lovers with raw talent and the highest quality of live music. With the series expected to start off with a saxophonic bang, you can expect more in the pipeline, with further acts and big names lined up for 2018, with the next WOO STUDIO event acting as the New Year’s Eve countdown party on December 31 – watch this space.

Tickets for entry come with one standard drink and is priced at HKD280 before 6.30PM on November 25 and HKD380 at the door. VIP priced at HKD5,500 for maximum 8 people, including one bottle of champagne, and one bottle of spirit.
