Interview with DJ Caal Smile (Amnesia Ibiza Resident) is a young Spanish house music producer & Dj.

Tell us a little bit about how you got started as an artist? Who was your biggest inspiration?

When I was really young I played as a drummer in a band but then, the electronic music scene involved me and I fallen in love, finally I got two decks and my history started again. I was inspired listening to the sound of the most important names of the House and Techno Music. From Roger Sanchez till Carl Cox and many more.

Will this be your first time in Macao?  Is there anything that you are looking forward to doing or seeing in particular?

I'm so excited for my first time in Macao and I'm really looking forward to enjoy all the vibes of that new city.

What was your favourite memory of 2013 and what do you have planned for 2014?

My favourite memory of 2013 was to perform for first at the new DJ Booth of Amnesia Ibiza Main Room into the last Opening party. I remember an amazing night with a dancefloor full of party people. For this 2014 I'm planning to release some new stuff and too much hard work in the studio to finish a new album.

What can we expect from your upcoming performance at Cubic Macao?

You can expect a good party with all the energy from Ibiza. For those people who like to have fun, for those people who like to enjoy with the music, that's the place to be in Macao. We hope they will enjoy like we always do.

What are your top three touring essentials?

My music, my headphones and my smile. :)

What is the weirdest thing that you’ve seen from the stage?

A Club without a dancefloor, only VIP tables. I can tell another strange things but for me, a man who loves to see everybody dancing on the floor, it was the most weirdest thing I ever seen, but It doesn't mean it is a weird club, just for me it's strange, but I have already seen more than one place like this.

Do you have any pre gig rituals?

No, I don't. I just need to be at the club at least one hour and half before to perform, I like to feel the atmosphere to know how the people understand the music, every crowd is different.
Who in your opinion are the best up-and-coming artists at the moment?
I appreciate all the good stuff of the new artists, but there's not any special one.
If you weren’t an artist what would you be doing?
Since I was baby I always played with whatever sound machine, so It's hard to think about this question. I can't say what I could do if I weren't an artist, but I would love to enjoy my family and friends more than now.
