The third week of The Aubrey After Dark’s monthlong anniversary celebration brings together two influential forces in Hong Kong’s music scene for one unforgettable night.
Chaotic Pavilion and Holy Spirits 2.0 go head-to-head behind the decks, embodying the dual soul of The Aubrey After Dark — bridging Hong Kong’s storied nightlife legacy with its vibrant new wave.
Holy Spirits 2.0 continues the spirit of the original Holy Spirits collective, originally founded by the late DJ Kulu, a legendary figure often hailed as the godfather of jazz and soul DJing in Hong Kong. Following Kulu’s passing in late 2024, the collective has been carried forward by Andrew Bull (DJ El Toro) and Suiki Lor, both of whom were closely connected to the city's early music scenes. Together, they honour the legacy of Hong Kong’s foundational club culture, blending euphoric new-wave disco, rare groove, and leftfield dancefloor sounds with contemporary energy.
In contrast, Chaotic Pavilion champions gritty, globally influenced underground house, shaped by raw rhythm and subversive club culture. Together, the two collectives will weave a sonic tapestry that moves between timeless classics, Italo-disco gems, and underground house, creating a musical dialogue that unites generations, soundscapes, and cultures. More than a party, this night is a celebration of the diversity, evolution, and creative spirit at the heart of The Aubrey After Dark.
