Third Eye Festival Founder Founder Valentine Ginies is joined by local techno selectors Marco Yu (TRI) and SLAP 拍 resident MZee.

Valentin Ginies

Valentin Ginies is a musician, producer, DJ and owner of the label 11001 Records, which focuses on techno, ambient, experimental and other abstract musical forms. He is also the co-founder of the Teufelsberg Domecast, a site-specific ambient podcast and release series distinguished mainly by its drive for non-reproducible sonic-aesthetic experimentation. Artists are given the opportunity to explore the physical limits of their sound through live performances that musically appropriate the dome on Teufelsberg and its natural, parabolic spatial reverberation. Valentin Ginies’s own musical pursuits fit in with and equally stem from the work being done with the Teufelsberg Domecast. Whether deep techno, overtone singing, subtle jazz chords or percussion, Valentin Ginies explores complex, organic musical compositions and their mind-expanding potentials.

Marco Yu

Hong Kong-based DJ Marco Yu returns to SLAP 拍 following his set at The Opening Party on 28th December. Through his event series, TRI, Marco has established a name for himself in Hong Kong for his versatile style that spans techno and house. In addition to clubs in Hong Kong, Marco has also played at Shenzhen’s Oil, Heim (Shanghai), Lantern (Beijing) and Beton Brut (Seoul), amongst others.

MZee

SLAP 拍 resident MZee is a Hong Kong-based DJ, underground music photographer and co-founder of SLAP 拍.

MZee has cultivated her interest in music since childhood and having been classically trained since the age of four. Her love for bass music was sparked while exploring nightlife in Australia and the UK while living in those countries. She was left enamoured by heavy bass, reflecting in her DJ that traverse classical and modern harmonies.

Her passion for the local rave scene, and the talented artists she met on those nights in Kowloon and New Territories, inspired her to create SLAP拍 in 2024, a Hong Kong nightclub community for electronic dance music and other arts.

Her unwavering faith in the power of heavy bass music means that her sets blend diverse breaks, drum & bass, leftfield bass, deconstructed club and hitech. Her meticulously crafted selections create distinct atmospheres, merging from upbeat and dark tunes to unleash sentiments concealed deep within.

MZee – 香港DJ, 地下音樂攝影師, SLAP拍 始創人

MZee從4歲開始沉浸於古典鋼琴，自小對音樂培養濃厚興趣。當她居住澳洲和英國時，在當地派對生活開始對重低音舞曲情有獨鐘。她的選曲特別在於不斷地游走於古典與現代音域之間，以強勁節拍配合經典樂曲的音符衝擊聽覺。

因鐘情地下音樂派對，她於2024年創立了 SLAP拍，一個以支持香港本地藝術的空間以音樂融合不同的藝術創作，令觀眾用新的觸感享受音樂。

她現場混合的breaks, drum & bass, leftfield bass, deconstructed club 及hitech 變化多元與廣泛曲風兼而有之，她靈活運用獨特選曲營造不同的氛圍，混搭由輕快至暗黑的樂曲以釋放深藏內心深處的感受與情緒，帶領聽眾進入MZee精心設計的驚喜新領域
