Bad Times Disco is turning 4 years old and celebrating New Year’s Eve all at the same time!


Beloved Hong Kong collective Bad Times Disco has been throwing parties, record fairs, and mutual aid fundraisers for the past 4 years in Hong Kong, enhancing the city’s scene and building a more collectively-oriented party community.

 

Led by founders Ani Phoebe and DMK, these digger DJs have influenced a new wave of vinyl DJs in Hong Kong. Musical director Ani Phoebe has booked some of the most interesting emerging generation of leftfield underground dance music DJs globally, such as Heels & Souls, Jaezae, Mai Linh, Carly Zeng, peachonfuse, Mori Ra, and more. BTD NYE will feel like a special invite-only party at the newest underground club in the city, SLAP 拍. With a limited capacity of 150 and a special discount for BTD and SLAP 拍 regulars, this NYE will be the friendliest dance-focused gathering in town.
 

Enjoying SLAP 拍’s Funktion-One soundsystem, BTD welcomes Indonesian DJ and Glasloop member, Givanka, a young emerging DJ on the Indonesian scene, throwing rowdy Glasloop parties and also working at Zodiac Jakarta as his day (night) job. Local DJs and BTD regulars MANSAI and markwhopper complete the lineup, sharing their passion for deep sounds from tribal house to unknown funk and soul. BTD founders and residents Ani Phoebe and DMK secure the turntables, bringing their deepest club selections to keep us on the dancefloor until the sun rises through SLAP 拍’s floor to ceiling windows.
