《soccer. Live in Hong Kong》
DIRHK and MTWM jointly presents this year’s finale concert - an emo extravaganza on December 19th (Thurs), featuring midwest emo/screamo band soccer. from Tokyo, Japan.
Formed in 2021, soccer. formed as Japan’s own response to the growing trend of ‘football’-named fifth wave emo bands. Initially labelled as Japanese Midwest Emo, soccer. released their initial works with a focus on twinkly guitars. In 2023, soccer. released single “IV”, a screamo and skramz number that marks a bold shift in their musical output. Their subsequent debut album, “Seasons Move Forward”, was released in 2024.
Come witness soccer.’s passion and fervour in their live performance, crafted from the deepest emotions of the band.
