Known for delivering to its guests a sophisticated and modern twist on izakaya dining, Zuma Hong Kong is set to keep you cool through this hot summer with a selection of enticing new cocktail creations. For a limited time only, the imaginative team behind the bar is launching its first-ever bottled Highball in collaboration with Japanese distillery Nikka and artisanal local craft mixers brand Carbonation, as well as offering two new intriguing cocktails that marries Japanese flavours and unique characters of Casamigos tequila.
 
The limited-edition bottled Zuma Yuzu Highball (HKD 145) is a refreshing and fizzy cocktail to celebrate the 100th wedding anniversary of the founders of Nikka – the father of Japanese whisky Masataka Taketsuru and his Scottish wife Jessie Roberta Cowan. Together with Hong Kong's first craft mixers brand Carbonation, the Zuma Yuzu Highball presents a pronounced flavour of Japanese yuzu with fine bubbles, rounded out with a kick of Nikka Coffey Grain Whisky and green apple. The harmony of the sweet and sour flavours is as perfect as Masataka’s love story, making it the best cure for hot and humid summer nights.
 
Zuma is also introducing two new creations in conjunction with Casamigos tequila, the smoothest slow-cooked tequila in Hong Kong, adding its signature Japanese infusion into the cocktail menu. The Bajiru Smash (HKD 155), a crisp blend of Casamigos Reposado, agave, cucumber, lemongrass, lime, yuzu and a thick sprig of fresh basil. Shāpu(HKD 145), a delicious mix of Casamigos Blanco, longan sake, lime and yuzu, with a drizzle of watermelon to add sweetness and a lingering heat from shichimi umeshu. To celebrate the marriage of Mexican spirits and Japanese delicacy, guests will be served with a selection of tempura specifically curated by Asia’s corporate executive chef Oscar Luzon de Arcos to match with each of the featured tipples from 17 July 2020. It includes Jalapeno with Hokkaido Cream Cheese, Avocado with Lime and Serrano chili and Shiitake Mushrooms with Shrimps and Coriander leaves.
 
 There is nothing more exclusive than a one-night-only cocktail event. On 16 July 2020, Jay Khan, the head mixologist of COA (ranked as No.3 in Asia's 50 Best Bars 2020) and the winner of Bartenders' Bartender 2020 will be bringing his expertise to Zuma’s lounge, shaking and stirring cocktails with Casamigos tequila throughout the evening.
 
As a teaser of what more to expect, Zuma Hong Kong has recently appointed Lorenzo Coppola from Zuma Rome to be the new bar manager, who will bring his passion of mixology and unique flair for creative cocktails to the city later this year.
